Join us this Saturday
"Intro to Digital Oil Painting" is about learning how to combine 19th century processes with 21st century technology. What would happen if Velasquez used Photoshop or Sorolla used Procreate?
Participants will learn how to build a digital painting practice or transfer existing art skills into digital technology using Procreate on iPad or Photoshop on a computer.
In the workshop students will also learn to integrate generative AI into a workflow to create unique results combining real world references and be able to enhance their work using AI.

Digital Captures: Generative Collage Workshop w/ @equalparts.studio
This two-day workshop explored the fusion of digital coding and analog techniques, led by @equalparts.studio. Participants crafted generative collages by programming image manipulation, producing unique visual outcomes with each run. By incorporating personal items and digital assets, attendees embraced an innovative blend of creativity and technology, creating pieces that challenge the boundaries of traditional collage.

Our first Focal Point session provided a relaxed, intimate photography experience. Attendees connected with their environment and fellow photographers, capturing meaningful moments in a laid-back setting at Trinity Bellwoods Park.

Keebs Meetup: Custom Keyboard Workshop w/ Recess Keebs
Our fourth keyboard meetup was a hit! Participants gathered to learn about custom keyboards, featuring a live build of the Neo Ergo and tutorials on switch lubing. It was a welcoming space for beginners to dive into the keebs world and connect with fellow enthusiasts.

From September 16th, @actualbookclub's Malcolm transformed the Recess library with a thoughtfully curated selection of books and records. Designed as a space for inspiration and introspection, this collection reflects Malcolm’s personal journey through literature and art, creating an inviting environment for Recess members to engage with the written word and broaden their creative horizons.
